Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Technical Corrections for 43 Wildlife and Plant Species on the Lists of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants

We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), announce technical corrections for 43 wildlife and plant species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). For 7 wildlife species and 30 plant species that predominately occur in California and Nevada, we are revising the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and the List of Endangered and Threatened Plants ("the Lists") to reflect the current scientifically accepted taxonomy and nomenclature of these species. We are also making commensurate revisions to the applicable critical habitat sections. Further, for six wildlife species occurring within the United States and territories, we are correcting errors in the Lists made in previous publications. The taxonomic, nomenclatural, and orthographic revisions and the corrections of publication errors are editorial in nature and involve no substantive changes to the Lists or any applicable regulations.
