Administration: Maintained regular engagement with Office of Head Start staff to address issues affecting Migrant and Seasonal Head Start (MSHS) programs and the families they serve. Congress: Collaborated with NMSHSA leadership, members, and partners to educate Members of the 119th Congress-especially those from rural and agricultural districts-on the value of MSHS and to build support for the program. FY 2026 Appropriations: Engaged appropriations leaders and key members of the Senate HELP and House Education and the Workforce Committees to underscore the critical role of MSHS in farmworker communities and to advocate for maintaining at least FY 2025 funding levels.
