Administration: Maintaining communication with program staff in the Office of Head Start regarding issues impacting Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs and the children and families they serve. Congress: FY 2025 Appropriations, education and advocacy aimed at securing Head Start funding in the final FY 2025 Labor, HHS, Education Appropriations bill (FY2025 Further Continuing Appropriations Act (PL 118-158)) to ensure funding for Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs. Working with the National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association (NMSHSA ) leadership, members and partners to educate Members of the 119th Congress and their staff, particularly those representing rural agricultural districts/states, about the importance and impact of Migrant and Seasonal Head Start and encouraging their support.
