Oppose Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) proposal to implement an efficiency adjustment to Medicare Physician Fee Schedule payments, as well as oppose the CMS practice expense site differential proposal Ask Congress to amend Section 1847A(c)(4) of the Social Security Act to extend the Secretary of Health and Human Services authority to use the wholesale acquisition cost (WAC) plus 3% as the reimbursement methodology for drugs under Medicare Part B until the Average Sales Price (ASP) reaches sustainable levels, as determined by the Secretary. This change will allow biosimilars administered in office settings to be reimbursed adequately so that physicians can afford to prescribe and administer biosimilars. (No specific legislation)
