Lobbying issues and bill citations

The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) lobbied on issues related to our mission of supporting individuals with learning disabilities. This includes advocating during the budget reconciliation process and FY 2025 appropriations process to increase funding for special education services. In addition, NCLD collaborated on the Empowering Families in Special Education Act, the IDEA Full Funding Act, the Keep our PACT Act, Protecting Students with Disabilities Act, the Respond, Innovate, Succeeds, and Empowers Act, the Respect, Advancement, and Increasing Support for Educators (RAISE) Act, and the Workforce Opportunity and Innovation Act. In addition, NCLD supported the resolutions acknowledging the importance of public Education and public schools.
