IMM · Immigration

Lobbied for the fair treatment of immigrant families, including efforts to address the unique challenges faced by mixed-status households. Our advocacy promoted pathways to citizenship and integration, while also working to elevate the economic contributions of immigrants.

TAX · Taxation/Internal Revenue Code

Advocated for the expansion and inclusivity of the Child Tax Credit, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that all children-regardless of parental immigration status-benefit from this essential anti-poverty tool.

BUD · Budget/Appropriations

Supported FY2026 appropriations to protect the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program, the Housing Counseling Program, the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund, WIC, and Title III of ESSA.

BAN · Banking

Engaged in efforts to protect low-income consumers from predatory lending practices and advocated for preserving the Consumer Financial Protection Bureaus (CFPB) independent funding structure.

HOU · Housing

Advocated for policies that expand access to homeownership, with a focus on increasing the affordable housing supply, reducing upfront costs for buyers, and expanding down payment assistance. We also supported federal investments in rehabilitating existing housing and advocated for zoning reform to address systemic barriers to housing access.

AGR · Agriculture

Opposed proposed cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and advocated for preserving nutritional equity across U.S. jurisdictions, including Puerto Rico. We also pushed to maintain the integrity of the updated Thrifty Food Plan and eliminate additional paperwork burdens that hinder access.

CIV · Civil Rights/Civil Liberties

Advocated for responsible and equitable AI governance policies that protect civil rights, prevent algorithmic bias, and ensure transparency and accountability.

MMM · Medicare/Medicaid

Worked to protect Medicaid from funding cuts and administrative barriers that could reduce enrollment. We advocated for preserving Affordable Care Act coverage and expanding access to health tax credits.

EDU · Education

Lobbied to protect and expand Pell Grant funding to reduce the cost of higher education for low-income students. Additionally, we supported investments in programs that serve English learners and advocated for policy solutions aimed at increasing college retention and completion rates among first-generation and underserved students.
