Preserving our members' global supply chains and their ability to import materials and machinery (natural rubber, grade 1080 and higher steel wire rod). These materials are crucial to make tires in the US as most tires contain 25% or more natural rubber, which is only produced in Southeast Asia, and the steel that is used in the production of tire cord and bead wire rod is not available from US sources in consistent quality and in volumes necessary to make todays high performance tires here in the US. Also working to eliminate outdated tire testing regulations and implementing a consumer information program with performance standards for tires; language included in FY2026 THUD funding bill.

Seeking the reintroduction of H.R. 8578 - "Retreaded Truck Tire Jobs, Supply Chain Security and Sustainability Act" - from the 118th Congress. Promoting mitigation solutions for roadway runoff to protect stormwater. House and Senate FY2026 and FY 2027 funding packages for Interior and Agriculture.
