Support programs and policies in civilian agencies and in Congress that bolster opportunity for commercial weather services generally. These programs and policies can save the Federal government lots of money, improve efficiencies, and help protect the public with extreme weather information and preparedness. Specifically support commercial weather investments and program or policy expansion within NOAA and NASA, such as National Mesonet program, and NESDIS. Also advocate for passage of a new "Weather Act" by House Science and Senate Commerce Committees and Congress to improve a variety of activities and modernize the Federal government response capabilities to more common extreme weather events and impacts, to help save lives, and property. HR 5089, S. 3923, respectively. Also for other agencies that have not had weather (and/or weather industry export) programs or unique commercial weather support systems in place, or policies to date, to consider expanding policies, programs, efficiency and capabilities, such as potentially at USDA (e.g., HR 4414), FEMA, etc.
