Veterans' Health - advocate for expansion of new technologies to ensure Veteran's care through VHA is as progressive and advanced as through community care facilities. VA transparency and accuracy of budget costs and needs expressed to Congress. Meetings with VA Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization to discuss new technology based equipment which addresses post traumatic stress disorders for Veterans. Met to discuss benefits and target veteran population and procurement constraints at VA Hospital facilities. New technologies and equipment need full and fair access to VA Hospitals and VISNs without bias of contracting office meetings with congressional offices to introduce the VA Health new technology product that is being used in the VHA in their state and districts. Addressed issues with Buy American Office in OMB. VA Prosthetics Reform Bill, S. 2981 tracking and meetings with co sponsors VA Prosthetics Departments on switching out order from veteran consults. Met with the VA Executive Director of the Small Disadvantaged Business Office, Chanel Banks-Kingston. Conference calls with Curtis Jordan and Ardene Nichols. Meetings on switchouts with Congressman Kennedy, Congressman Morelle and Congresswoman Tenney.
