The proposed changes would eliminate most collection of racial census data, exclude non-citizens from apportionment counts, and alter how seasonal residents of states are counted.

This event features addresses from family members and a keynote speaker, a ceremony to honor the 2026 recipient of the Madeline “Amy” Sweeney Award for Civilian Bravery, a Remembrance Montage, and a song performed by the granddaughter of a 9/11 victim, accompanied by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
