Special Local Regulation; Elizabeth River Western Branch, Portsmouth, VA

The Coast Guard is proposing to establish a temporary special local regulation (SLR) for certain navigable waters of the Elizabeth River Western Branch. The SLR is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by a boat race. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons and vessels from being in the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Virginia.
