Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards No. 304; Compressed Natural Gas Fuel Container Integrity

On May 30, 2025, NHTSA published a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) proposing to remove obsolete text in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 304, "Compressed natural gas fuel container integrity". The agency received no comment on the proposed changes to FMVSS No. 304, and therefore the agency is adopting the changes in this final rule.
