Safety Zone; Bridge Demolition, Upper Mississippi River, Chester, IL

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for all navigable waters of the Upper Mississippi River from mile marker 109.5 to mile marker 110.5 near Chester, IL. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards associated with bridge demolition operations. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Ohio Valley, or a designated representative.
